Carolyn Oulton is Professor of Victorian Literature and Director of the International Centre for Victorian Women Writers at Canterbury Christ Church University, where she also teaches on the BA Hons in Creative and Professional Writing. Her recent work includes Down From London: Seaside Reading in the Railway Age (Liverpool University Press, 2022) and her poetry collection Accidental Fruit (Worple Press) draws on walks along the Kent coast. She is the Co-lead with Michelle Crowther for the digital humanities project https://www.kent-maps.online/ and Co-editor with Adrienne Gavin of the Palgrave series British Women's Writing from Brontë to Bloomsbury.
