Author Biography

  • Marvin Gilman, Independent Scholar
    Marvin Gilman has tutored in Australian Literature at Western Sydney University and the University of Wollongong. For many years, he was the book review editor of Australian-Canadian Studies, the journal of the Association of Canadian Studies in Australia and New Zealand (ACSANZ). He is acknowledged as one of the foremost scholars in the comparative Anglo-Canadian/Australian literary area.  He published Attraction and Repulsion: Perceptions of Communism in Anglo-Canadian and Australian Literature (2018) in Toronto, Canada. His most recent publication is 2X Essays The Little Red Book of American Culture (2022). In 2025, his first book of poetry entitled, Pomes Pommery, will appear.
